Wind Turbines

Wind Energy

The use of wind for converting kinetic energy into mechanical energy for the production of electricity.

Wind energy has been harnessed since ancient times, be it to ride the seas, pump water or grind wheat.

Amongst the eco-friendly energy production methods, wind turbines are closest to becoming economically feasible, when compared to other energy sources.  The operational simplicity and wind availability place wind turbines as the prime electricity source from renewable sources.
